Campaign on Energy Management in Lithuania

Part of a EU Phare project which is implemented by DAnish Energy Management as lead firm

Today an awareness campaign on Energy Management in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Lithuania has been launched.

The awareness campaign is part of the EU Phare project Improved Industrial Energy Efficiency in Lithuania, which is implemented by Danish Energy Management as lead firm.

The awareness campaign is developed in cooperation with the Lithuanian Energy Efficiency Centre and the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, and is the first of its kind in Lithuania.

The launching of the awareness campaign took place at Forum Palace in Vilnius for an invited audience with representatives from the industrial associations, the keyplayers in the energy sector and the press.

The following persons gave presentations during the lauching of the campaign
  • Director of AB (Alna) Former Minister of Economy and spokeperson of the campaign, Mr. Valentinas Milaknis
  • Vicechairman of Energy Committee of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, Mr. Pijus Ralys
  • Head of Energy Efficiency Centre, Mr. Rimantas Sevastijanciukas
  • Director of Ekostrategija, Mr. Martynas Nagecius
  • Chief Consultant at Danish Energy Management, Mr. Nils Jepsen

The material on Energy Management in SMEs developed for the campaign includes a brochure, a handbook, a CD ROM with an EM registration system, a website, etc. The material can be downloaded at the Lithuanian Energy Efficiency Centre's website

The lauching was succesful with interviews to the National radio and to the press, and will among other things be followed up by distribution of the campaign material to 250 SMEs in Lithuania.
