Danish ICT Management has been short-listed and invited to submit a tender to provide consulting services for Feasibility Study for an IT Park/Distance Learning Center (DCL) in Bhutan.

The
South Asian Enterprise Development Facility (SEDF), managed by the
International Finance Corporation (IFC), is funding this feasibility
study to determine the economic, financial and technical feasibility of
establishing a combined Information Technology Park (IT Park) and a
Distance Learning Center (DLC) in Bhutan.
Among the shortlisted companies are very large and well-known companies.

deadline for tender submissions is 1 September 2004 and the project
duration is about 4 calendar months. The project includes a total of 16
man-months with an approximate budget of EUR 135,000.

The
objective of this assignment is to conduct a feasibility study on
establishing Bhutan's first IT park/Distance Learning Center. This
includes expected infrastructure needs and investment costs, assessment
of the legal and regulatory environment, and analysis of market demand
and supply for IT related and distance learning services in Bhutan.
In
addition to this, it also includes environmental and social impact
assessment in accordance with the World Bank's Environmental Assessment
requirements and the national laws, rules, and regulations of Bhutan. |
