This project is very similar to the Global Distance Learning Centre (GDLC) project in Uganda, that Danish Management won earlier this year.
Danish Management Group has been short-listed and invited to submit a tender to provide consulting services for: Development of a Corporate Plan for the Proposed National Information Technology Agency (NITA)
The
Government of Uganda (GoU) has acquired an IDA credit with which it
intends to to improve public expenditure management. The Government
intends to among other things, modernize (computerize) systems and
strengthen the capability for utilizing and maintaining Information
Technology (IT) for financial management in order to increase the
timeliness, quality and reliability of financial data.
This project is very similar to the Global Distance Learning
Centre (GDLC) project in Uganda, that Danish Management Group won
earlier this year.
Among the interested companies were
Ernst&Young, Rambøll Management, etc. Danish Management Group was
among the 6 companies shortlisted:

4. MTAC, Uganda

The
deadline for tender submissions is 16 July 2004 and the project
duration is three months with an approximate budget of EUR 33,000.
The
objective of this assignment is to develop a 3-Year Corporate Strategy
and Plan that will strategically position the NITA GDLC as a leader in
coordination and management of National IT policies together with the
coordination, monitoring and provision of technical competitor IT
support and development learning guidance to Government and the nation.
