Danish Energy Management has started an innovative cooperation with the Egyptian environmental consultancy firm EcoConServ under a business to business program funded by the Danish Embassy in Egypt.
Together, the two companies strive hard to establish themselves in the Egyptian and Middle-Eastern market for CDM and other climate change related services. As a part of that process a day in April was set a side for a workshop to manifest the mutual interests between large Egyptian industries and climate related consultancy services. More than 50 companies within the metal processing, chemical and cement and ceramics sectors were invited to the workshop to explore the options for CDM projects within their businesses. Other participants included the Egyptian Minister of environmental affairs, the head of UNDP in Egypt, representatives from the Ministry of Investment and other prominent guests.
Following the workshop, a great effort has been put into the continuation of the CDM and climate work in Egypt, follow-up visits and analyses. Danish Energy Management hopes that the business to business program will help secure the prosperity of these activities to the mutual benefit for the partners, Egyptian industries and the global climate.
