Danish Management Group’s tendering division is on a roll these days. Within a week, the company has been shortlisted to prepare tenders for three exiting projects. And with several submissions of expressions of interest and tenders during the last weeks, the company looks forward to a very busy fall.
Combining web development and energy efficiency Most recently, Danish Management was shortlisted with Croatian consortium partner King ICT for the UNDP assignment “services of development and implementation of a web-based EMIS software application”. The assignment involves the development and implementation of the Energy Management Information System (EMIS) application. EMIS is a software system that will be used as a main tool for the purpose of continuous energy management in public buildings owned by cities, counties and government in Croatia. The EMIS will be utilized as a part of the project “Removal of barriers for energy efficiency in Croatia” that is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship of Croatia (MoELE) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Deadline for submission of tender is November 9.
Energy efficiency study in St Vincent and the Grenadines Another exiting tender the tendering division will be preparing the coming weeks is for a EuropeAid energy efficiency study in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The objective of the assignment is to devise strategies which will contribute to the energy security of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the global environment through the improvement of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in state owned facilities, thereby contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in response to the challenge of climate change.
The results to be achieved are:
1.An Energy Conservation Education and Awareness Programme developed 2.Comprehensive Energy Management Action Plan (EMAP) or plans established for Government/Public buildings 3.Detailed energy audits of each government/ public building within the scope of this project duly completed to provide the data upon which each Energy Management Action Plan is to be based 4.A comprehensive assessment of energy supply options for each government/ public buildings completed with specific emphasis on incorporating energy supplied from on-grid and/or stand-alone renewable sources such as solar (photovoltaic and thermal for water heating) and possibly small wind turbines where applicable 5.A 10 year energy consumption forecast, with and without energy saving devices and renewable energy technologies for each building audited.
Deadline for submission of tender is November 20.
Multi-sector framework with the European Investment Bank A third recent shortlist is with the European Investment Bank regarding its multi-sector framework.
In the spring of this year, the EIB launched a call for tenders for expert consultants in a wide range of sectors and potentially covering all its countries of operation with a view to setting up a register of such consultants and concluding a number of framework agreements in each sector. All consultants scoring a sufficiently high technical mark in a given sector were added to the register for future use. The top-ranked consultants per sector, including our own company, were requested to submit a proposal to conclude a framework agreement.
Deadline for submission of the proposal is November 11.
Busy fall ahead As a number of expressions of interest and tenders have been submitted recently, there is reason to think that more shortlistings and wins are on the way. So the tendering division has a busy fall ahead!
