While most of the DMG staff was decorating Christmas trees and wrapping/ unwrapping presents, several interesting short-listings ticked in.
A few days before Christmas, we received notice that we had been short-listed for a project for the Danish municipality of Soroe. The project is a so-called ESCO project, and very similar to the project we are currently working on for the municipality of Vallensbaek. It concerns analysis of energy saving potential in all municipal buildings, actual implementation of energy saving measures (such as new windows, insulation, ventilation and awareness raising) and thorough monitoring of the energy consumption. Deadline for submission of tender is 27 January.
On 23 December, as most DMG staff were wrapping the final Christmas presents, we were informed that we were short-listed for an IT project for the Danish Energy Agency entitled “Support, maintenance and further development of the Danish Emission Trading Registry”. As the title shows, the project concerns the maintenance and development of the Danish Energy Agency’s quota system. Miracle A/S, a Danish IT firm specializing in Oracle, is lead on the tender, while Danish Energy Management participates as consortium partner, offering energy specific advice for the developers. We expect to receive the tender material at the end of the month and that deadline for submission of tender will be early March.
And then, while most DMG staff were contemplating our New Year’s resolutions, we learned that we had been short-listed for the EC project “Sustainable and environmental management capacity building and environmental protection” in exotic Tonga. The overall objective of the project is to build capacity for long-term urban planning and environmental protection in the greater urban area of Nuku’alofa in order to contribute to poverty reduction and sustainable development through strengthened capacity for urban planning and environmental protection. Deadline for submission of tenders is 15 March.
Back at the office, we took a head start of 2010. In the first week of the year, two tenders were submitted: a tender for ProInvest, who were looking for a PICC Business Analyst, and “Implementation of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Credit lines, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYROM, Albania, Kosovo under UNSCR 1244, Montenegro (L-Luxembourg)” to the European Investment Bank.
With such a busy start of the New Year, the 2010 tender forecast looks sunny!
