Danish Energy Management has recently been awarded the prestigious ESCO contract for the municipality of Elsinore - the biggest contract of its kind so far in Denmark!

Danish Energy Management, in cooperation with YIT A/S (lead firm) and OBH-Gruppen A/S, submitted the winning tender for the important task of making the municipality of Elsinore (Helsingør Kommune) more energy efficient.

The tender covers approximately 90 municipal buildings, and the goal is to lower their energy consumption with 25% - 40 %. 7 buildings have been selected for the first round of renovation work, and the budget for this alone amounts to more than 20,700,000 DKK.

The project consists of 3 phases, namely an analysis phase, which includes in depth analysis of the energy saving potential in the municipal buildings, an implementation phase where energy saving measures are implemented in selected municipal buildings, and lastly a monitoring phase, where changes in energy consumption are closely monitored and further measures are taken if necessary. The analysis phase will kick off shortly and the project runs until 2023.

Danish Energy Management will contribute with valuable experience gained in the ESCO projects for the municipalities of Vallensbaek and Skanderborg, especially with regards to energy analysis and awareness raising among the users of the buildings.
