Shortlisted to design M&E system for the Gambia

Danish Energy Management hasĀ been shortlisted for the World Bank assignment "Design an Integrated Monitoring & Evaluation System for The Gambia Growth and Competitiveness".

The major tasks of the project include the following:

  • Carry out M&E capacity development needs analysis among implementing partners as well as the Ministry of Trade and outline a comprehensive road map on how to fill the identified gaps especially on aspects of data management and storage/retrieval. This should include data on tourism arrivals from traditional and non traditional markets. Number and value of new investments attributed to GIEPA should as well be captured.
  • Develop a Management Information System (MIS) which will track progress in all project subcomponents, both in terms of financial performance and meeting implementation targets.
  • Reviewing of existing project results framework and accordingly develop databases that will help tract performance on output and outcome indicators for project progress monitoring and subsequent evaluations.
  • Identification of required data needs for the each of the implementing partners, the PCU and Ministry of Trade and advice of establishment of baseline, data collection methodologies, sample selection and design of a baseline database.
  • Organize refresher training in M&E for project and implementing partner staff, as well as primary stakeholders

The project has a duration of 2 months and is expected to kick off on 1 March. The budget is unknown at this stage. The deadline to submit our tender is 30 January.
