March ends with good news for Danish Management Group. Danish Energy Management has just been short listed for a Monitoring and Verification project in Croatia funded by World Bank.
 
On March 23, HEP – ESCO, the daughter company of Croatia’s power utility Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP) which is responsible for the implementation of the Monitoring and Verification project, contacted Nils Jepsen to tell us that we have been short listed for this project.
 
This is the result of an Expression of Interest that Nils and I concluded and submitted at the end of February.

 
Danish Energy Management together with Human Dynamics, an Austrian consultancy company with extensive working experience in Croatia, will be bidding for this project. The assignment, which is expected to start in May this year, has a budget ranging between EUR 100,000 – 200,000.
 
The tasks included in the project are the following:

• The establishment/confirmation of a baseline for output performance indicators on energy savings and energy efficiency market in Croatia at the beginning of the implementation of the project;
• Monitoring and Evaluation of the progress in achieving the output indicators 2 years into the project implementation and making recommendations of corrective actions on addressing identified issues and concerns, if any;
• Recommending an exit strategy in year 4 based on the results of the mid-term review, and
• Monitoring and Evaluation of the progress in terms of the output indicators again at the end of the project implementation with emphasis on the project sustainability and the dissemination of the lessons learned.
