Danish Management Group Shortlisted in Poland

January has ended with great news for Danish Management Group. Danish Energy Management will be bidding for a monitoring project in the energy sector.

On Tuesday 31, Danish Management Group has been contacted by the Polish National Economy Bank, which has informed us that the consortium led by Danish Energy Management has been short-listed for the Monitoring and Evaluation of GEF Energy Efficiency Project in Poland.

Danish Energy Management together with two local consultancy companies, PNEC (Polish Network “Énergie Cités”) and EGOTERM, will be bidding for the implementation of the above mentioned project.

The M&E services included in this project are the following:

  • Establishment of number of: firms, projects, transactions and volume of debt financing to EE/ESCOs in the Polish market;
  • Establishment/confirmation of baseline for output indicators on energy savings, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy efficiency market in Poland at the beginning of project implementation;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress in achieving the output indicators 3 years into project implementation and make recommendations of corrective actions on addressing identified issues and concerns, if any;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress in terms of the output indicators again at the end of the project implementation, document lessons learnt from the project and recommend the method for results dissemination;
  • Working with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego ( The National Economy Bank) to organize a dissemination workshop;
  • Working with Participating Banks to estimate energy saving and emission reduction of EE projects supported by GEF Guarantee, and
  • Providing training to Przedsieboprstwo Oszczedzania Energii “ESCO” in estimating energy savings and emission reduction.

The estimated number of professional staff-months required for the assignment is 645 staff-days assuming a total of 90 transactions to be monitored.

Our proposals must be submitted to the Polish National Economy Bank on Thursday 9, March 2006 at 10 a.m. Polish time at the latest.

Danish Management Group’s project proposal will be competing for the project award with the following consultancy companies: Kantor Management Consultants, Econoler International, the consortium Electrowatt-Ekono OY & Sigma Termodynamik and the consortium Polinvest & Ma?opolska Agencja Energii i S'rodowiska.
