Shortlisted for Energy Project in Russia

The project duration is 21 months with a budget of EUR 4,000,000. Deadline for tender submissions is 11 February 2005

Danish Management Group has been shortlisted for the Europe Aid project Harmonisation of Energy Policies of Russia and EU (Energy Dialogue).
The overriding objective of the project is to contribute further to the development of a common approach between EU and Russia on the priorities for a sustainable development of the energy supply and demand.

The project duration is 21 months with a budget of EUR 4,000,000

Deadline for tender submissions is 11 February 2005

Danish Energy Management is lead firm in consortium with Electrowatt-Ekono Oy from Finland.

Strategic issues
Elaborate proposals for the achievements of a common "Russian-European Strategic Energy Dialogue" and progressive integration of the EU and Russia's energy sectors. This will include the joint analysis and development of energy scenarios, examining in particular the growing mutual interdependence, taking into account the objectives of energy and fuel diversification, energy efficiency, energy savings and increasing environmental constraints.

Conditions for attracting investments
Elaborate proposals for enhancing progress towards a transparent and non-discreminatory investment conditions that is vitally important for modernise and develop the energy sector, with particular reference to the production and transportation of energy resources in the territory of Russia for expert to the EU.

Enhancing the security of energy transport infrastructure
Increase the capacity of the Ministry of Energy, jointly with energy transport companies and other involved EU and Russian stakeholders, to design/review/analyse, facilitate and promote the implementation of initiatives to upgrade and enhance fuel supply and transportation ing´frastructure with a view to improving the reliability, safety of energy supplies.

Ad-hoc advice on the EU-Russia Energy Dialogue related issues
The project will provide specific, targeted support to the implementation / further definition / analysis of other issues of common interest and areas of cooperation envisaged in the framework of the Energy Dialogue.
