New Danish Africa Policy

The Danish Government is launching a new Africa policy later this year

Later this year, the Danish Government will present a new policy on Africa. To inform this work, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared an analysis. All interested parties are hereby invited to participate in the debate until 7 November 2004.

The analysis discusses economic growth, trade, debt, good governance and human rights, education and health, HIV/AIDS and peace and stability.


How to Participate in the Debate

It is possible to join the debate or to comment on other participant's contributions. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; they will subsequently be placed on the Ministry's homepage.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not edit the contributions. Moreover, only contributions stating the participants full name, email-address, and if possible, position and organisation will be published - provided that the participant so wishes.

Contributions can be submitted in English or Danish.

The debate lasts until 7 November 2004. The final edition of the analysis will be published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 26 November 2004. At a public hearing 30 November 2004, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Integration and Development will present the Government's new policy on Africa at a public hearing in Copenhagen.
