Danish Energy Management secures important milestone in the Danish CDM Programme

The first three CDM projects in the Danish CDM project pipeline in Thailand have now passed their final test and been registered as CDM project activities by the Executive Board of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the UNFCCC.

DEM takes active role in selling voluntary carbon credits

January 24, Danish Energy Management made the company's first agreement on voluntary emission reductions in Malaysia. The project is a biogas plant at United Plantations in the state of Perak, Malaysia, where biogas is generated from palm oil mill effluent.

In a bold initiative that challenges the status quo of energy usage in Southern Africa, Danish Energy Management and DANIDA, together with the Ekurhuleni Metro, recently undertook a feasibility study to ascertain the appropriateness and viability of various potential interventions aimed at improving the energy efficiency of a number of community centres within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan region.
